How to type accents!!
On a PC:
While holding down CTRL key, click the apostrophe key. Then, type the letter you want the accent on.
á = CTRL + ', then a
é = CTRL + ', then e
í = CTRL + ', then i
ó = CTRL + ', then o
ú = CTRL + ', then u
ñ = CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + ~ (top left of keyboard), then n
¿ = CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + ?
¡ = CTRL + SHIFT + !
OR go to Insert > Symbols and pick the symbol you need.
On a MAC:
While holding down the Option key, click the "e". Then, type the letter you want the accent on.
á = Option + e, then a
é = Option + e, then e
í = Option + e, then i
ó = Option + e, then o
ú = Option + e, then u
ñ = Option + n, then n
¿ = Option + Shift + ?
¡ = Option + !
On an iPhone or iPad:
Hold down the letter you want the accent on, and a special characters menu will appear.
